The Ohio River Valley Council Boy Scouts of America honored 19 of the 42 Eagle Scouts in the council at the recent council recognition dinner held in Wheeling.
Area man pleads guilty in U.S. Bank robbery
A Rayland area man pleaded guilty Tuesday before Jefferson County Common Pleas Judge David Henderson to robbing the U.S. Bank in Smithfield on March 11.
Seventeen participants in a local "Biggest Loser" contest lost a combined total of 224 pounds during the three-month contest.
Rayland finances in good shape
The village's debt is the lowest it has been in several years, Fiscal Officer Rick Soos recently told Village Council.
