PITTSBURGH a ' Allegheny County Public Works today announced intermittent traffic stoppages between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Fri., June 19, on Kenmawr Avenue in Rankin Borough, directly below the Rankin Bridge, for installation of steel girders in the bridge structure.

A man was shot while playing basketball in Rankin on Wednesday. Allegheny County homicide detectives called to the scene at the Hawkins Village complex told WTAE Channel 4 Action News that a man in his 20s was shot in the stomach and was taken to UPMC-Presbyterian in an unknown condition.
