Byrd asks for special prosecutor in Britton death investigation

Harrison County Prosecutor Dennis Byrd asked a judge Tuesday to appoint a special prosecutor to review the Indiana State Police investigation into former county corrections officer Christine Britton's death in March.

Assessor offers help with personal property forms

Due to the elimination of township assessors in Harrison County, county Assessor Lorena Stepro has set up a place and time in each township so that the taxpayer has the opportunity to receive assistance on filling out the personal property forms.
