Third annual Bison Festival benefits historical Caprock Canyons
The festival is being held at the Quitaque Cotton Gin on FM 1065, a quarter-mile south of Quitaque, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The funds will help restore the Texas State Bison Herd to its historic range at the park.

Texas Panhandle counties seeing more food insecurity
At the old volunteer fire department in Quitaque, city leaders such as the mayor, the city manager, a county and city commissioner, are volunteering to distribute food to area folks from the High Plains Food Bank.
