This is not the first "incident" where the boro police acted in a "questionable" manner. Why are they not releasing the name of the officer involved? Because they were warned over a year ago about this cop's "inappropriate" and possibly downright "crinminal" tactics & activities. There's a whole lot more to this story than what is out in the media right now. I hope that they are not allowed to "cover up" this latest event where this cop literally "cooked" a man to death. How incompetent or downright ignorant can a cop be not to know that a person is having a diabetic emergency rather than being intoxicated. That is cop 101..... This makes Barney Fife look like Columbo

whether this man was drunk or diabetic, when he was foun unresponsive, the perimedics should have been called and he should have been transported to the hospital. The decision of whether he was or was't drunk should not have been up to society or the police!

If this is the person we knew in high school then we are not suprised by his behavior - he needs to be fired and prosecuted

Everybody in Punxsy knows who the cop is...... Why don't the public officials come out and say it ???
Anywhere else a public statement would have been made naming the officer and telling the true disposition of his status..... like suspension from duty. This cop is WAY BEYOND incompetent... he is a rougue S.O.B. who has been using his badge to "get over" for a long time. He is involved in so much sleazy stuff it is unbeleiveable..... The mayor and the chief know about it because I TOLD THEM over a year ago about this guy and they refused to do a damn thing about him..... Their asses should fry over this thing too..... As well as the district attorney because I told him too.

Are you from DuBois? If so, maybe you could find out why this same cop was fired from the DuBois Police Department and post it here on line where people can see it..... If you can't guess who the cop is, go to the Punxsy Police website and see how many "detectives" are listed....You'll know who he is..... he's the Punxsy version of Barney Fife. This cop is SLEAZY to the max....

Concerned citizen, There's only one detective listed. I'm guessing that's who you mean?? Could the name have been removed from the website? But do you all think he was the only policeman who knew the guy was in the car? The articles said "officers" responded to the call at 10am. Even if it was one officer, someone else surely was aware of what was happening.

Good call, Marie. When, or if, this all finally goes through the wash, there's no telling how much the public may be made aware of.

Plus, if things go sour for one, does he step up to the microphone and belt out some tunes?

hey here is an idea, how about you wait until all of the information on the case has been released before you condemn him as being a rogue or "sleazy"? you people are making horrible assumptions on vague information. i know by fact that the man was not "cooked to death" he was taken under the boroughs awning with the cars windows open, and was checked upon by the officer every 15 minutes, as the man would not get out of the car. this is besides the point, the man may have had a medical emergency, but when an attack such as this happens you act and even smell as though you are intoxicated. the officer was called to arrest the man because he was being unorderly at a store. what would an average officer do? The problem arose when the man would not get out of the car when asked, he wanted to stay in the car. the officer did not want to leave him there but he had to. with him thinking he was intoxicated, left him on his side, to avoid choking on vomit. with the idea being to let him sleep it off and then gather info. when he was awake. Yes, it would of been great if he would have taken him to a hospital, but he did what an average officer would do. this is nothing to ruin this mans life over. it is a freak accident that he deeply regrets.

First of all, I'm not an "ex-prisoner" of this "Barney Fife" cop..... And second of all I DO HAVE PROOF of this rouge cop's prior misconduct and when this incident occurred I was already in the process of filing a formal request for an investigation by the state attorney general, which by the way was about to be conducted when this idiot killed a man by his gross incompetence. Proper police protocol dictates that the "prisoner" have a medical evaluation ANY TIME when the prisoner's medical condition is in question in any way.... get a life jerkweed..... Andrekovich is going down for good and I can guarantee it...... By the way, why was he fired from the DuBois Police Department?????? This guy is so sleazy he stinks..... His wife was ready a long time ago to throw him out for screwing half the shabby assed sluts in Punxsy.... The guy is involved with drugs and god knows what else.... he should fry in hell

I wonder how many personal injury lawyers are standing in line in front of William Obbish's door trying to get the job of filing the wrongful death claim against the Punxsy boro police..... the settlement in this case will be well into the 8 figure amount..... I hope this guy ends up owning the whole damn town..... Fedigan and Wherley and Burkett should all go down for this too.... they all knew that "Detective" Andrekovich was a world class sleazeball and did absolutely nothing to stop him..... They all should go to the same prison cell the "Detective" goes to.... don't drop the soap boys
