Panther State Forest's main access road closed due to flood-related slippage

Mark Wylie, district administrator for the Parks and Recreation Section of the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources, said the Division of Highways District 10 office in Princeton is beginning repair work to the damaged section of County Road 1 and hopes to have it reopened within the next 30 days. In the meantime, alternate routes into Panther State Forest are being assessed and soon will be made available to the public.
