It's not just the clubs serving drinks. I've been told there's a "businessman" who lives on North Jefferson who has a bar set up in his home. And of course I've also been told some of Princetons finest frequent it.

Eith go wet Princeton or shut down all the clubs an privat places serving alcohol

lol no I think most know that the Cherrys drink plenty...It is complete rubish that the game is played that way, but it is the way it is.I say legalize it all and use the taxes for helping the working poor, turn the old old wal-mart into a shelter, and hey old families that own downtown,...Your grip on Princeton is dying! no one wants your falling down building for a 1,000 a month....hows this for an idea, put solar panels on all those flat roofs that way you might actually have something people want nooooo electric bill...think about!

I am me42445 you may have a great idea! Only thing wrong with it is I don't think the guy who owns that strrp mall would sell it out right.

Princeton could have it's first loft style condos at some outrageous price. With or withous solar.

Agreed, but all I am saying is we could do so much more as a people than strip malls...I am far from a hippy, but the older I become the more I see that is wrong with the world...

I figure after the Supercenter gets going real good we probably will see more development out there.

Most everything around here boils down to $$$$. Those who have aren't willing to put out major bucks on something they might loose their butts doing.

With all my money I might be able to buy 12 PACK OF TOILET PAPER Saturday.

Princeton needs alot of things. One being someplace where teenagers can go and not be hasseled by the cops.

We have nothing here to keep people coming back. Kids go off to school and only return for a quick weekend visit.

We now have a $30,000,000 hospital with the same staff of the old hospital. The only improvement I see is it's a new building.

Don't get me wrong I love Princeton. I was born and raised up north and hate it up there. I just wished it had more to offer.

You have to realize a country club is PRIVATE
property, that's why they can serve liquor
and the likes. It's not against the law to have
liquor and let your guest enjoy them to. Private
clubs do it all the time.

Has anyone noticed the for sale sign at the Eagles?

It was also a PRIVATE club Safe Keeper. They have a membership just like the Country Club. And you're voted on for new membership just like the CC.

When Vickie Hughes was mayor she told several of us that if Princeton was wet we'd probably have more industry. She said several prospects would come and say lets have a drink and talk this over. Since we're dry that didn't happen.

Just to inform you all...
An ATF official was served liquor at the Eagles on a Poker Run stop and he turned in the Eagles. You MUST have a warrant issued to "raid" these places and you have to be served liquor to issue the warrant. Eagles shouldn't have let anyone in without membership.
Also, CC- does NOT serve anymore. I know that and I am not even a member. Elks- smart enough to not let just anyone in and VFW- they deserve a freakin' drink!
Who cares really. It will continue for years and years- but the Eagles got themselves caught serving to an ATF. And Francisandy, you're right. Wet County=Prospering County!

KYLooker is right. The CC does not serve anymore, and no I am not a member either. They bring their own and keep it locked up in their personal lockers. This is legal to my understanding. For the rest of you, I agree. Vote it wet or do away with them all. That’s what the voters want according to the last vote. But as mentioned, the police can not just kick open the doors to these places. There’s a little thing called the Constitution. I'm sure if anyone can get into one of the other clubs and are willing to make a written complaint as to what you seen, or what you bought while in there, the police would gat a warrant for them also. The thing is, no one wants to be that person to fill out a witness statement so what now?

Really come on did y'all think they was going to let the eagles stay open with the big new walmart coming right across the road. That is why it was targeted again. They have wanted the eagles out for years. The reason they got it out was that the eagles allows to many people that aren't members to come in that was there down fall..I think the whole thing is a crock really. Just make the town wet we already have more bars than some wet counties.. We are just putting people on the roads because they cant get it here..I dont want all the trashy dives hopkinsville has but a couple of places to buy a drink with supper and a couple of places to get a 6 pack on the weekends wouldnt be so bad just control it.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Pisces

Are you feeling fraught? It certainly seems that way, perhaps because you've got far too much on your plate and not nearly enough time to tackle it all. Do yourself a big favor and start with whatever is most urgent, otherwise you'll waste time by dithering or getting caught up in trivial tasks. Above all, don't get into a panic because that will squander valuable time and energy.
