An 86-year-old Okmulgee County man died in a house fire on Wednesday night, officials said.

Though they didn't get as much airtime on "American Idol" as "bikini guy" or off-key contestants mocked by the judges, at least three Oklahomans nabbed golden tickets to Hollywood this season.

An Okmulgee man was killed in a Friday night collision west of Beggs. Henry Young, 59, was driving on Oklahoma 16 near County Road 100 when his car travelled left of center and was struck by tractor trailer driven by Shaun Merchant, 29, or Preston, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
