I address these remarks to select groups who attended or heard about the video presentation of last night regarding the so-called anthropogenic global warming caused by CO2:
A Those who have an ability to think and understand the process we call science (truth).[A majority of attendees at the video presentation of last night]
B Those with a diminished capacity to learn/political agenda to create panic.[A minority of attendees - mostly 'true believers' in the Gore lie about anthropogenic global warming (AGW)- and disruptors.]
C Those who regard 'nature' as a goddess (Gaia) of some kind beset by a constant concatenation of assaults caused by man. A minority of attendees, mostly aligned with group B, above.
A few truths among many that could be stated:
+* If you torture data sufficiently, it will confess to almost anything.- Professor Fred Menger *
+ No forecasting models, however concocted, can withstand comparison with future truth.
+ Water vapor constitutes 60-70% of all 'greenhouse gases' and CO2 is less than .4%. "One molecule of methane is nearly 30 times more efficient at trapping infrared radiation radiated from the Earth’s surface than a molecule of carbon dioxide." http://encarta.msn.com/encyclopedia_761578504... Our attention is misplaced on the wrong factor.
+ Even Al Gore, no matter how much an honored politician he may be, can not change his past educational record of failure and inadequacy in science training. He has overreached his capacity (group C) in that regard.
+ Science IS truth. Truth must always be verified with facts and never honored just with a 'consensus'.
+ The earth has been 'attacked' by much greater assaults in the past and withstood them. Much more resilient than we mere mortals can imagine.
