NWS confirms nearly 70-mile-long damage path from killer Mississippi tornado
The large and violent tornado that tore a destructive path across two counties in east-central Mississippi around noon Thursday, leaving one person dead and several others injured, was on the ground for nearly 70 miles, weather officials confirmed Friday.
