Eureka! Archaeologists uncover major find
PRAIRIE DU ROCHER, Ill. - The buried remains of the only 18th century Illinois frontier log fort not to have been washed away in floods long ago or destroyed by modern construction have been found beside Illinois 155 near the Fort de Chartres State Historic Site.
