Two men convicted in Montco slaying linked to Bucks death
Two men serving life sentences for the home-invasion slaying of a Montgomery County woman were charged today with the 2006 slaying of a Bucks County man.
The woman accusing James VanDerbeek of raping her two months ago in her Kutztown University dorm room testified May 27 that the tone in his voice grew angrier every time she rejected his request to have sex.

Ex-code officer to repay Pennsburg $18,500
Pennsburg's former code enforcement officer said he will pay back the borough $18,500 after he undercharged some businesses for permits over a six-year period.
Joseph P. Chrisman said he only was trying to help the little guy when he billed some ''mom and pop'' stores residential, not commercial, rates for their construction permits.
''It was my way to help the owners, to get them started, to keep them going so they could thrive in business,'' said Chrisman, 52, of Lower Pottsgrove Township. ''Did I do the right thing? Possibly. Did I do the wrong thing? Possibly.''
