Church festival scene of terror as 3 shot

Why do I read and see Hispanics committing all sorts of crimes nearly or virtually everyday? Can't these parolee criminal illegal aliens do something that's productive? Just the other day, Steven Quintero, another illegal alien, entered the I-5 on the wrong ramp, causing a fatal crash that left 3 people dead, including himself. Is there an end to this, at least, for a week? Of course, my heart goes out to the innocent victims.

How ironic...the same church that gives sanctuary to illegal aliens is the same church the illegal alien shoots up! I love it!

What was the parole board thinking when they put Diaz out on the streets.
It's time that parole boards across the country to start having criminal charges brought against them for endangering the publics lives and the lives of law enforcement.
It seems that the honest citizen keeps paying the price for Ramona Ripston and her Liberals.
It was Ramona that once stated "by protecting the rights of criminals, we are protecting the rights of all citizens".

There is nothing here to suggest that Diaz in an illegal and I am strongly opposed to illegal immigration. This tragedy is more an example of the failure of the justice system to effectively control who gets out and what they are up to after their release. We have a man convicted and having served time for assault with a deadly weapon paroled and firing at a crowd with a deadly weapon.

Now we will see some low life defense attorney try to get leniency for his poor troubled client. Enough already! I have to seriously wonder how these bottom feeding shysters can sleep at night knowing that they are helping to make our streets more dangerous.

This didn't happen because of illegal immigration, protection of our civil rights or because the guy was hispanic.

Domestic violence you idiots. And that other civil liberty that you idiots are all so proud of - the right to own guns. Just because some guys in white wigs wrote it into our constitution back when there were grizzly bears and wolves running off with children on the ranch, when it made sense. Now we live in a society where conservative, knuckledragging, uneducated cavemen think it's ok for everyone to be able to own a gun.

Being a parolee, he is not supposed to even have a gun. Alot of good the law did, he still managed to get his hands on a gun. Again, the parole system failed the people of California. This idiot should have never been paroled out of prison.

The problem is not of gun ownership, it is the problem of who owns them, or gets access to them. If the government banned tomorrow the sale of all guns and confiscated all of them in the hands of private citizens, there would still be crimes committed using them. A criminal contemplating breaking one law is not concerned about breaking another law. And the black market in weapons would be booming.

While availability may have been a factor here, it Diaz took a gun (registered or otherwise) from a friend or family member then you argument has some validity. However he could just as well have gotten it form another criminal who sold it to him.

What needs to be is that the government would enact uniform registration and background check standards. There should be a data base available to all law enforcement as to who owns weapons. There should be a waiting period to allow anyone wanting a gun to settle an immediate issue to cool off and not get it cash and carry.

I too have misgivings about the so called 2nd amendment rights and you point about the wilderness situation at the time of the writing of our constitution is well taken. However an armed society is not easily taken over by corrupt government and given what we see from the Bush administration (and others) the wolf at the door may not be a canine beast but your friendly government agents.

If this makes me an idiot then I wear the title proudly, however not all conservative (nor liberals) are idiots though the ones we hear the most from may very well be. I would call my self a Libertarian, but that party has no real influence and can not get their candidate on the ballots many places so I have to choose from whats available and I pinch my nose tightly closed while I'm doing it.

They have been used to keep me and my family safe in our gang infested barrios here in L.A. on more than one occasion. My house has bullit holes in the windows and my truck has bullit holes in the body from the gang warfare.

The last illegal mexican who came over my wall and stole thousands of dollars worth of my construction materials ended up with a hole in his head. When seconds count the police are only minutes away...or more likely in L.A. hours away.

Something is happening whit the justice or parolee board They do not care about safety of people who takes a restriccion order , the sistem only wants money ,we are living in a corrupted sistem ,they wants to do something until somebody is hurt or died, a similar case is happening in our family we put a restriccion order and the police arrested him for domestic violence ,and then his family paid money to put him out from jail it is not fair , I donot how much they paid for put him out but that worths more than four kids lives and their mom , The justice sucks

In addition to Fernando Diaz Jr, the person who sold the gun to him (or was the owner) should be charged with attempted murder.

How about from now on we simply put a gps unit on criminals after release. We can track every move they make.

I'm half Jewish, and half Catholic. I'm really not that religious. To have a crazy mofo like that guy shoot up a church is just f*cked up. Any time a guy shoots up a place because of domestic disputes or anything else then the guy has some issues. I'm not religous that much, but wherever a guy shoots up a place it just terrible.

For your information this man is not an illegal, he was born here along with his parents. Twelve years ago he was shot in the head four times and never recovered. I know because I have an older son with him and I kept my son and myself away.

Romeo: What truths are you basing your statement on hat Steven Quintero was an Illegal Alien? Others say he is born USA and a citizen.
