A 40-year-old Allyn man driving a 1996 Mercury Mystique on Lake Flora Road failed to stop at a stop sign at Highway 3. A 29-year-old Port Orchard man in a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am traveling north on Highway 3 skidded across the road to avoid the Mercury but hit it in the southbound lane.

A 55-year-old man, who removed the front door of his rental house, was charged with first-degree criminal trespassing in Kitsap County District Court on May 3. Charging papers stated that Robert D. Cullen, of Port Orchard, has a rental home on Victory Drive and the tenants were several months behind in paying rent.
