Florida Highway Patrol investigators said John Herbert, 50, of Green Cove Springs was in critical condition Sunday morning after being hit by an SUV while riding his motorcycle.

Quest for Drugs Led Escaped Inmates Back Home

An appetite for drugs led to the capture of two inmates who broke out of the Putnam County Jail earlier this month The Sheriff's Office says Doni Brown and Timothy Fletcher, after fleeing the state, returned to Florida to buy drugs from a dealer in the town of Putnam Hall.
