For the 22nd year in a row, Piggott Elementary School is marking Red Ribbon Week with activities scheduled through Friday.

70th annual St. Francis picnic held
Miss St. Francis for 2009 is Whitley Nicole Blue of Piggott , the daughter of J.C. and Tonya Helms.
The 77th annual Pollard picnic, to benefit the upkeep of the New Hope Cemetery and the Pollard Picnic grounds, was held Saturday, July 11, in that community.
