"Poinciana is facing a tremendous crisis, and now for the first time since its development, we get the opportunity to organize," he added, "You don’t have to agree with incorporation, but you have the right to decide on the issue."

After months of impassioned debate over whether Poinciana should be incorporated into a city, those who will decide whether to push the issue onto the ballot in 2010 will have a chance to hear residentsa opinions in a public forum.

As a Poinciana resident, Allan R. Collins believes the time has probably come for this community of 10 villages and more than 75,000 residents built in unincorporated parts of Polk and Osceola counties to finally become a city.
