For the majority of the time that the issue of incorporation was being studied, residents clashed on racial and class issues, pitting, for example, residents of an over-50 community named Solivita against Poinciana villages adjacent to this high-end, golf community. "Poinciana is facing a tremendous crisis, and now for the first time since its development, we get the opportunity to organize," he added, "You don’t have to agree with incorporation, but you have the right to decide on the issue."

After months of impassioned debate over whether Poinciana should be incorporated into a city, those who will decide whether to push the issue onto the ballot in 2010 will have a chance to hear residentsa opinions in a public forum.

A “Legislative Delegation” will be at Liberty High School by 6 p.m. to discuss putting to vote the issue of incorporating Poinciana. This is a must-attend meeting. The legislative delegation will allow each resident up to three minutes to present their case either for or against allowing residents to weigh in on this critical issue.

At issue is whether residents want to allow a vote on incorporation on 2010 ballots or if residents would prefer to prevent others from casting their civil right to vote.

I don’t know about you but last time I checked my address, it was still located in America. It appears an obvious choice; however, the Florida delegation seems to have some need to hear from residents that we want to behave, at least, like a democracy.
