Deadly Oklahoma Tornado Rated EF-5
The tornado was 1.3 miles wide as it moved through Moore, in the southern part of the Oklahoma City metropolitan area, the National Weather Service said in a report on Tuesday afternoon. The estimated peak wind ranged from 200 to 210 mph — which would make it an EF5, the most powerful category of tornadoes possible — according to the service.

Choctaw Casino Hotel opens May 1
The latest phase of the Choctaw Casino Hotel expansion project opening on May 1 includes a 118-room hotel including 10 luxury suites and two penthouse suites and the updated Center Stage event venue with 5,000 square feet of event space that seats up to 500 people for live entertainment and private events. The expansion also includes a 600-space covered parking garage connected to the casino and additional gaming, bringing the total number of slots to more than 2,100.

#Whirlpool has until this Wednesday, (April 24) to respond to these new ADEQ’s questions asked on April 16. However, Whirlpool, in an April 8 press release, trumpeted the release of their plan submitted to ADEQ, but never, told the public that ADEQ had additional questions. Whirlpool submits revised TCE mitigation plan
Whirlpool has submitted a revised remediation plan for the company's former Fort Smith manufacturing site and surrounding areas contaminated by trichloroethylene (TCE), a potentially cancer causing chemical that Whirlpool has admitted leaked from its facility on the city's south side.
