Battlefield trails to be dedicated
The Mine Creek Battlefield State Historic Site, 20485 K-52 Highway near Pleasanton, will dedicate the new battlefield trails and have a spring kickoff from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, according to a news release.
Workers with Saker Towing of Fort Scott were diligent in their efforts to recover this vehicle that was completely submerged in the Marais des Cygne Wildlife Area along Highway 69 north of Pleasanton on Friday, March 22.
Mine Creek Battlefield to reopen April 3
Mine Creek Battlefield State Historic Site, 20485 K-52 highway in Pleasanton, will open its visitor center April 3 for the spring and summer travel season, according to a news release.
