POINT PLEASANT, W.Va. -- Pleasant Valley Hospital has laid off 69 workers at its facilities in West Virginia and Ohio.
Parents voice closing concerns
Parents whose children attend particular Altoona Area schools through boundary exceptions gained some hope that the school board might consider closing two elementaries without uprooting hundreds of other children across the district.
William M. McWhorter, 68, of Point Pleasant, W.Va., died March 22, 2013, at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehab Center.
