SPLOST funds continue to decrease
SPLOST dollars have taken a dip in the past few months compared to last year. According to the Georgia Department of Revenue, Gordon County collected $136,152 less than it did between April to July of last year.
Predeployment saved lives
In the midst of the coming storm on Wednesday, January 30, 2013, deputies of the Gordon County Sheriff's office were already deployed in anticipation of the storm, in conjunction with an in place procedure spear headed by Gordon County Sheriff Mitch Ralston for tornados.
