A former U.S. Postal Service employee in southern Arizona has been sentenced to 16 months in prison for forging nearly $18,000 in stolen money orders.

According to the Cochise County Sheriff's Office, on Sunday June 17, 2012 at approximately 7:05 pm, the Cochise County Sheriff's Office was advised of a home invasion/assault which had occurred at a residence in the 400 block of East Crystal Avenue in Pirtleville, AZ near Douglas, AZ.

According to a report in the Douglas Dispatch, the fire was reported shortly after 2 a.m. in the 500 block of Ninth Street.
