The Pinson City Council is committed to providing its residents with the best park possible, several council members said Thursday.

The victim of a fatal traffic accident Thursday at Sweeney Hollow Road and Alabama Highway 79 near Pinson has been identified.

Trussville resident Danny Garrett announced Tuesday that he will be a candidate to replace the retiring Arthur Payne in House District 44.
