Eventually our water bills? I have a feeling this could cost us more than we are paying now if this is brought to pass.

The water bills in the Oceana area already more than tripled over the last 7 to 10 years with the excuse being "its to pay for the new plant", they don't even have an accurate way of measuring sewer they just use the amount of water used and basically double it. So anything else comes about and I just wonder how those on fixed incomes will pay for it. But ask the mayor and the response you will get is "oh we all have to pay high water bills"

way it works with the sewer, even if you have your water turned off you still pay a sewer bill because the way the law is, even with water off you may be bringing water in the house and using the sewer service, i found this out because i was sick a few months and had to stay with relatives.had all my utilities cut off because i would not be home, recieved a sewer bill for 100s of dollars for the months i was gone, called the PUC, was told, that is the law, call your congressman

The water bill its self aside from sewer has tripled as well, I remember water being 15 to 20 bucks a month about 7 to 10 years ago. We also pay about 10$ now in a "surcharge"....when I asked abouut that I was told once again it was to pay for the sewer plant.....just wondering how long it will take all this money being brought in every month for all these years to pay for it? Also when ( as if that will actually happen according to the town) the thing IS paid will water bills go down.....Now there is a joke for you.....lol

If anyone is mad over this take it up with the Public Service Commission. There over the Water and Sewer Project's. Just to let ya know water and sewer rate's will increase more since there putting the Class 4 Water Plant down at R.D. but that will mean more job's and more people on Public Water. According to the project map the new plant going in at R.D. will service around 14 to 18 thousand customer's.

It will be good for the people, but they need to hire all new workers instead of all those clowns nola rose has workin down there. It looks like shes got a small army employed down there and only one of them knows somethin about what hes doin and he operates the plant. The guys workin in the distribution system dont kno there ass from a hole in the ground, there just a waste of money.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Aries

Don't get embroiled in a bad-tempered skirmish today, for it might turn into more than that if you aren't careful. Everyone seems to be ratty and argumentative, but once you let the first spat take place it's effectively declaring open season. Even though things seem out-of-joint, keep your lines of communication open.
