The Fountain-Warren Health Department is gearing up for its school-based mass immunization clinics for H1N1 vaccine.

Organizers were pleased as showers held off for most of the day Saturday, allowing local fall festivals to take place.

Hundreds gathered in Earl Park for the 37th annual Fall Festival. The festival features a car show, live entertainment, and even a mud volleyball tournament.

Just after 4:00 a.m. the White County Sheriff's office responded to a report of a serious bodily accident that had occurred somewhere in the vicinity of County Road 900 S and US 231.

About an hour before the horse and pony show at the Warren County 4-H Fair was scheduled to start Tuesday, the rain was pouring down and more than 50 children were scurrying around the stables, getting ready for the competition.

Before long a wind turbine could provide the power for Seeger Memorial High School and Warren Central Elementary School.
