Sometimes, being in the right place at the right time counts for a lot. Tuesday morning, Fort Payne police officer Randy Arnold was johnny-on-the-spot to help arrest Emmitt Arlee Harris, aka Adijah A. Uhuru, who had escaped from the DeKalb County Detention Center Sunday evening.
Authorities captured a Pennsylvania man Tuesday morning, less than 36 hours after he escaped from the DeKalb County Correctional Facility on Sunday night.
Rescue squad burglarized, two charged
Two DeKalb County men are charged with burglarizing the Ider Rescue Squad building this weekend.
The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for DeKalb County on Sunday until 9:45 p.m. At 8:43 p.m., NWS radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado in Marshall County moving east at 35 mph.
