Not sure, but I think everyone who is upset needs to attend the school board meeting Monday, Nov 9 @ 6:30 and let them know that we believe something should be done. Is our childrens safety not worth at least that.

Damn right they are. Someone is at fault here. Changes need to take place in alot of positions at that place.

your witch hunt for Dehart isn't going to go far. There's nothing to see here, move on. You can just be heard, but all you'll get is lip service.

Maybe if enough of us show up we will at least make them think about it. You know, you get elected to the school board.

Well technically yes, you get elected, but in Piggott, it's who has the biggest fan club at the time. I've seen a church in on a couple of elections, and the mayor's family on the last two. But hey it's Piggott, that's why we take three steps forward, and seven steps back.

We are so thankful for the safety of our children that day, thanks to everyone involved in helping get the students evacuated and for notifying all the parents.

Well, mayber it's time somebody stood up to the "Good ol' boy system" and trided to do something about it. I say show your support of those who want to try and come to the meeting. Maybe some one on the board feels the same way but won't buck the system without community support. Just sayin'

This isnt a witch hunt like u say. A witch hunt is where u are looking for something where there is nothing and u are making things up to hurt some1. This r facts and truth. They knew ahead of time Dehart and Swann and they did nothing. They forget or they were not there or oh yeah, Dehart and daughter not going to be there anyway on that day so who cares? Now big Ed is trying to cover ass. This is slop as usual at hschool and same cover ass as usual. But u r right about lip service is all u will get. And have the janitor write it down then clean it off? what about a camera? What about looking at it yourself? Board is scared to do right thing for our students. Let continue with the dum and dummer at PHS. It is a joke there. Glad one of my kids is still at the nazi elementary. At least he is safe and learning.Proud of elementary staff! Taking bets at work to c if board will do something. Problem is no one to bet against. Everyone puts all money on they won't!

you people crack me up. If it's not a witch hunt, then why aren't you after Brock and Ed as well? And why are people being put up to coming to a board meeting instead of the board handling this issue?

Dehart knew about it first for two weeks and took no action. He is the principle and ultimatly it is his responsibility to handle those things. When he did nothing it was brought to Swanns attention a week before the evacuation. He "forgot" about it until the janitor brought it to his attention again around 10 that morning.Dehart and daughter were not at school (duh) that day so Swann went to Ed. Three stooges. Board has never handled issues concerning hi school in the past why should they start now unless there is some pressure to do what's right for our kids.

well if the board dont at least
"do the right thing" by disciplining someone, then when the board election comes back up again, they should all be voted out.

Read the paper idiot, Brock was with Dehart when it was first discovered. And yes Dehart made the decision, Brock however, waited for his opportunity to kiss ass and look good in the public eye, and you're falling for it hook, line, and sinker! The whole situation was handled poorly and I hope we get it fixed and get a better plan than evacuation to the football field.

So had Dehart really made the decision to evacuate, is that what you mean? Him and his daughter weren't at school that day. I agree it was handled poorly and since Dehart knew prior to that day, even if he did make the decision from wherever he was, it was waiting longer than he should have! They both knew ahead of time. Improvements should be made!!

no,no,no, BOTH administrators were called to the threat by the custodial staff. They BOTH knew ahead of time. BOTH, everybody keeps zeroing in on Dehart, but BOTH admins knew. My point is what kept Brock from disagreeing and insisting we let the kids out? Dehart was gone, Brock was confronted by staff, then a decision to let out was made, after it had been found and discussed by BOTH administrators. Second point, Ed should not have this kind of miscommunication in his subordinates, they should know what he expects! Didn't happen here or in other cases from what I've heard. embarassing.
