Fieldbrook Fire Department Chief Richard Grissom will be in charge of fire protection inside the 2009 Reggae Rising festival, according to David Moss, speaking on behalf of Dimmick Ranch.

Smooth sailing for Reggae Rising permit

The promoters of Reggae Rising got approval from the Humboldt County Planning Commission to continue with their annual Reggae Rising three-day concert on the first weekend in August and to fold the end-of-August Willie Nelson concert into the existing Conditional Use Permit for the next six years.

Eight arrested, $99,000 cash seized

Mendocino County deputies on a routine patrol on U.S. 101 at Bell Springs Road seized 20 pounds of processed pot and a little over $99,000 in cash on Saturday, April 4. At a little after midnight, deputies noticed three vehicles parked alongside the road with several people standing around.
