Scot Market in Mid Town Robbed

Roane Market Robbed The Scot Market on Highway 70 in Midtown in Roane County was robbed shortly after midnight Friday (11/13). A female clerk was closing up for the night when a man entered the store with something covering his face, pointed a gun at her and demanded that she open the register. The clerk complied and the man fled after grabbing an undisclosed amount of money. If you have any information on Friday’s robbery, call the Roane County Sheriff’s Office at 865-376-5582.

Exxon in Lake City robbed

Man With Box Cutter Tries To Rob Store Authorities in Lake City are investigating an attempted armed robbery at a gas station Sunday night (11/15). Police say that the incident occurred at the Exxon station on Main Street at around 8:30 pm Sunday and that a man armed with box cutter tried to rob the store. He cut the clerk on the arm with the blade but did not escape with any money. The clerk was not seriously injured and did not require a trip to the hospital.
