If Rick Newman wins this election, I hope there is a watchdog committee that will keep citizens informed about court cases. How many wins and loses. He seems to be the "answer" to Hopewell'a crime problem. At least that is what he wants you to believe. Am anxiously awaiting the "tally". He will soon find out that he can only do as much as the police and detectives give him to work with. Just like Nino. Maybe his winning election will be a good thing. Maybe we will all see where the "problem" lies. Could be interesting days ahead if he wins election. Stay tuned.

I have alot of respect for people trying to make a difference.

She can’t inform anybody about anything because she has no in depth knowledge of any particular subject. She chooses to affiliate with very radical people. These are the very reasons that the incisive people just shake their head when her name is mentioned. Some people are just hard to take serious. She’s one of them.

The HCGG candidate's statements and his Acorn style promoters have turned the vast majority off on this guy. Oh he will get some votes. Anybody that runs will get some votes especially when his Acorn has put out $8000 worth of signs on every vacant lot and vacant house is Hopewell. He will not win. It is going to be at least at 15% spread.

Actually Newman spent less that $2000 on signs. Sylvester spent $4500.00 I don't know where you are in the city but I certainly see a lot of Sylvester signs at houses for sale from certain real estate companies, and a lot of rental properties where they came by and asked for it. Once again you haven't checked your facts.

He had $6000 worth of signs left over from his previous 14 races in other cities. Next year when he runs he probably won't have to spend anything!

To all Nino supporters Nino had the worst average prosicuting cases in the region. this info is taken from the Virginia Supreme Court stats. It does not matter how many cases are given to him the ratio of win to losses is still the same. We need a change NEWMAN is a good start.

I feel sorry for all of you NINO supporters. Saying all this stuff about Rick then he sweeps NINO. What did he win by like 70 %. I knew it was going to be a good day when I went to the polls and there was 10 people outside for Newman and one lonely one for NINO.

Way to go Hopewell voters. What did you have, like 10% turnout? Almost 3,000 votes in the entire city. That's a number to be proud of.
