Cigarette fire burns half an acre of Rumford woods
An improperly discarded cigarette burned a deck at a Route 2 house and half an acre of woods and brush early Saturday afternoon, Deputy fire Chief Richard Coulombe said.
More cuts requested in proposed RSU 10 budget
Next Monday, the RSU 10 board is expected to act on recommended cuts that would bring the 2013-14 budget to $36 million.
