United Methodist's Wyoming Conference to disband
The local United Methodist conference that helped form more than 300 churches, as well as homes to assist the aging and children will disband sometime in 2010.

Loysch, 42, of South Main Street in Elmira, was charged June 26 with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident. *Eddie Torres, 38, of Noble Street in Elmira, was charged June 26 with felony driving while intoxicated, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and endangering the welfare of a child. *George W. Tyler, 40, of Lackawanna Avenue in Elmira, was charged June 27 with felony driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop on Sullivan Street and East Avenue. *Roscoe R. McConnell, 58, of Gillett, was charged June 29 with petit larceny at Tops Friendly Markets on South Main Street. *Michelle Jones, 39, of Elmira, was charged June 29 with petit larceny at Tops Friendly Markets. *Noah Gee, 27, of Elmira, was arrested June 29 on a warrant charging him with facilitating third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. *Cameron L. Walborn, 18, of Sutton Street in Elmira, was charged June 27 with unlawful possession of marijuana. *Sarah A. Welch, 21, of Hall Street in Elmira, was charged June 27 with petit larceny at Weis Markets. *Crystal Wilcox, 34, of Jay Street in Elmira, was arrested June 27 on a warrant charging her with issuing a bad check. *Tony B. Lee, 22, of Holdridge Street in Elmira, was charged June 27 with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. *Eric A. Knox, 23, of Frank Street in Elmira, was arrested June 27 on a warrant charging him with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. *Derek A. Foster, 25, of Lake Street in Elmira, was charged June 27 with second-degree harassment. *Michael J. Khan, 18, of Horseheads, David R. Perry, 18, of West Church Street in Elmira, and a 17-year-old Elmira boy, were charged June 28 with making graffiti by spray painting on West Clinton Street. *Dominique P. Brooks, 21, of West Second Street in Elmira, was charged June 28 with second-degree criminal trespass. *Dean L. French, 27, of Hornellsville, was charged June 27 with aggravated harassment and resisting arrest following an incident in the town of Hornellsville. *Steven L. Roy, 23, of Smith Hill Road in Woodhull, was charged June 28 with three counts of third-degree rape and third-degree criminal sexual act and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Police report that Roy had sexual contact with a 16-year-old girl on several occasions during May and June in Woodhull. He was arraigned in Canisteo Town Court and released to reappear in Woodhull Town Court at a later date. *David L. Vanderhoef, 39, of Hornell, was charged June 30 with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, altering a license plate, uninsured operation, unregistered motor vehicle, uninspected trailer, unregistered trailer, inadequate trailer breaks and unlicensed operation. He was arraigned in Hornellsville Town Court and sent to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 property bond. *Two Woodhull residents were arrested July 1 after an investigation involving the pair serving alcohol in their home to minors. Curtis Abbey, 64, of West Main Street in Woodhull, was charged with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child. His granddaughter, Joan L. Abbey, 20, of the same address, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child. They were arraigned in Woodhull Town Court and released to reappear at a later date. *William "Ben" Allen, 27, of Avoca, was charged July 2 with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child. Police report that he allowed an 18-year-old to consume alcoholic beverages in his residence. *Bridget C. Sullivan, 19, of Horseheads, was charged June 15 with resisting arrest. *Kyle E. Wilcox, 19, of Elmira Heights, was charged June 17 with fourth-degree criminal mischief. *Brian K. Scott, 47, of Elmira, was charged June 17 with petit larceny. *Calvin R. Armstrong, 29, of Elmira, was charged June 18 with driving while his ability was impaired by alcohol or drugs. *David E. Stedge, 42, of Elmira, was charged June 18 with forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child. He also was charged with the same offenses on June 19 in a separate incident. *Suzanne M. Smith, 39, of Waverly, was charged June 18 with violation of probation on a felony. *Gabriel L. Osborn, 18, of Horseheads, was charged June 19 with unlawful possession of marijuana. *Donald Z. Ennis, 18, of Elmira, was charged June 19 with unlawful possession of marijuana. *Timothy A. Burke, 31, of Elmira, was charged June 19 with forcible touching, endangering the welfare of a child and first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child. *Gerald L. Breedlove, 25, of Horseheads, was charged June 21 with second-degree promotion of prison contraband and unlawful possession of marijuana. *Eugene A. Mazza, 31, of Elmira, was charged June 22 with second-degree harassment. *Joseph P. Rickard, 39, of Veteran Hill Road in Horseheads, was charged June 20 with felony driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a property-damage accident in the village of Odessa. *Wayne B. Eccleston, 48, of Newfield, was charged June 21 with driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop in the village of Montour Falls. He also was charged with failure to stop at a stop sign and driving with inadequate brakes. *Police are investigating a burglary at a seasonal residence on East Fork Road in Wharton Township sometime between June 15 and June 20 during which a number of items were taken including a television, DVDs, about $20 in currency, six bottles of alcohol, a lamp, two rugs and miscellaneous articles of clothing. The loss was valued at $770. *Eric S. Lowe, 29, of Hornell, was charged June 19 with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident. *Stephen Buck, 36, of Hammondsport, was charged June 21 with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. *Matthew R. Tobias, 45, of Hammondsport, was charged June 25 with driving while intoxicated. *Patrick T. McDonald, 53, of Bath, was charged June 27 with driving while intoxicated. *Cheryl J. Hasty, 39, of Corning, was charged June 28 with endangering the welfare of a child after a complaint of an underage drinking party in the town of Corning. *Harold L. Hand, 28, of Cameron Mills, was charged June 28 with harassment and resisting arrest. He was sent to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 property bond. *Police are investigating a burglary at a residence on West Hill Road in Covington sometime between April 18 and June 18. Police said the residence was ransacked and a 12-volt battery charger was taken. *Police are investigating a burglary at a residence on New Town Lane in Morris Township sometime between June 15 and June 20. Plastic containers, a digital caliper, bottles of liquor, boxes of reloaded ammunition, 100 feet of copper wire and a spotting scope were stolen. The estimated value is $613. *Police are investigating the theft of two metal cattle gates from property on English Hill Road in Union Township sometime between June 20 and June 22. *Police are investigating the theft of a metal grate and four wooden beams from property on Right Asaph Run Road in Shippen Township sometime between June 14 and June 18. *Julius C. Harpending, 18, of Corning, was charged June 18 with unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of alcohol by a person under the age of 21. *Brandon A. Tuma, 19, of Corning, was charged June 21 with possession of alcohol by a person under the age of 21. *Magee M. Taylor, 31, of Corning, was charged June 22 with driving while intoxicated and several traffic violations after an investigation into a property damage accident. *Gordon C. Cronk, 54, of Addison, was charged June 22 with felony driving while intoxicated, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and several other traffic infractions. He was sent to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $2,000 cash bail or $4,000 property bond. *Mark E. Caslin, 37, of Horseheads, was charged June 24 with fourth-degree criminal mischief. *Jose L. Diaz, 26, of Rochester, was charged June 30 with driving while intoxicated, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and two counts of speeding after a short chase. He was sent to the Livingston County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 property bond. A passenger in the vehicle, Linda Sanchez Torres, 26, of Rochester, was found to be wanted on a Rochester City Court warrant charging her with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. She was transported to the Rochester City Police Department.
