Report: Child died from violent abuse
Investigators believe the 3-year-old boy killed in his Valencia County home died when his stepfather slammed the boy's head to the floor, according to court documents filed Tuesday.
Stepfather accused in boy's death
A 3-year-old Peralta boy is dead and his stepfather is now in jail suspected of causing the death.
New Mexico state police are taking over the investigation of a 3-year-old who has been beaten to death in Peralta, the agency said.
