It is my belief that when an officer turn his lights on you pull over how hard is that to figure out.If she is that stupid maybe she should just stay home.NO ONE MAN OR WOMAN IS ABOVE THE LAW.

This cop looks like another brute with a small head and big hands on the loose. Who picks them?
My sympathy and support is on the side of Dibor Roberts. I am sure any jury made up of reasonable citizens will see it her way.

You don't seem to understand that this was a dark, isolated road. Have you not heard of police impersonators - or legitimate police officers - attacking women under these circumstances? Why not proceed to a lighted area for the safety of the driver and the police officer? Things are not always as simple as you seem to think.

Ludicrous! Maybe we should only allow officers to pull people over in broad daylight and require at least two marked units be present before the person is required to pull over.

"If someone is concerned an officer may not be legitimate, he or she should move to a well-lighted area." This is a quote from Sheriff Waugh's press conference. The problem is, unlike most police jurisdictions in the country, Yavapai County does not have a policy or procedure for signaling the officer to indicate that you are aware of the officer and are driving to a lighted area. Hazard lights are the most common signal used by other law enforcement agencies.

We are losing sight of what is important here; catching someone with drugs and/or stopping someone speeding - OR, protecting citizens, especially our moms, wifes, sisters and daughters. She was not "running" from the police and was in no way going to "get away" from receiving the ticket for speeding. She was doing what her husband (rightfully, I might add) told her to do on a dark and unlit road. If my wife was to err, I would prefer it to be like Dibor did and keeping going to a well lighted area.
Our police force PRIMARY duty is to protect the citizens, not get angry because someone doesn't immediately obey their every command.
Hope she is found innocent, or better yet have the ridiculous charges dropped, because HER right to safety overrides a police officer's requirements of immediate pulling over.
Regardless of the outcome, I will tell my wife to insist on driving to a well lighted area before pulling over. Better in trouble with the law then dead and buried under a shallow grave!

CitizenSafety1st seems to be willing to risk his own wifes life to support what appears to most to be pure hooee. Please provide us with hard numbers that show how many police impersonators that have stopped women on dark and lonely stretches of road in Arizona the past year.. 5 years.. Now, tell us how many vehicles that have fled from the police have ended the chase by exchanging gun fire with the Police during that same time period. Now compare the numbers.

I have 2 daughters and have told them to go to a lighted area, if they are ever signaled to stop. Maybe we need to look at the bigger picture here. This is not a simple problem with a simple answer. There have been impersonators, etc. so, implement a national program. To compare this situation with vehicles that have fled from the police is comparing apples and oranges. Dibor was not "fleeing." When you flee, you accelerate, you don't slow down. The police allowed OJ Simpson to travel, on a highway, until he was ready to stop. Dibor wanted to get to a lighted area. It's what all of the newsstations announcers say we're supposed to do. No one is trying to degrade the job that law enforcement has to do or put themself above the law. The issue is about how to help them do it better.
