The driver of this 2018 Ford Escape, Arlene L. Frank, 62, of Kuna, was uninjured when the vehicle she was driving crashed into the Best Western Lodge at River's Edge on Tuesday, Aug. 21, around 5:20 p.m. Frank reported that the car jumped forward and she tried to stop the vehicle by applying the brakes. According to Orofino Police Chief Jeff Wilson, based on the force that it took to drive into the building, investigators suspect she may have applied the gas instead of the brakes.
