Patchogue feels jilted out of $5M for sewer plans

Every voter in Suffolk should dump this guy. He lied to us.

Septic Systems can be designed to work better,cleaner, cheaper and Environment friendly then any Sewer system. I know, I do it everyday.

What alot of people are saying when somebody says the above quote is generally that they refuse to pay for a designed onsite septic system to work. I am NOT saying the person in the quote has said that.

If sewer systems are so Environment friendly, How come nobody drinks from them?

I read that Brentwood got $294M as a budget for ‘08 -‘09. That’s truly a waste considering it’s one of the worst school districts in the state. Maybe Brentwood is Patchogue’s sewer system or it should be.
Ever wonder why it is that the good districts do so much better with far less? Could it be the people?

Why such a big difference? Our budget is 24% that of Brentwood’s, yet it does so much better and actually produces much better, educated students. As far as I’m concerned, all schools are the same. They’re nothing more then buildings with books for learning. The books, buildings and available information is no different between districts.
This is just another fine example of how to judge the population of a town.
Brentwood = losers.

Now our little village of Patchogue is on the hook for thirteen million dollars in bond issues. We have 11,000 people ...isn't that a hoot? Our housing density has soared since the "Patchogue Firsters" got their mitts on our village government. There are condominiums EVERYWHERE! Just wish they had slowed down the "smart growth" so that we wouldn't all look so stupid now.

This article is about extending sewer systems east and west of patchogue for the expansion of business and development. And those 'anchor babies' that racists keep referring to are US citizens just as much as you and I per the 14th Amendment to the US Constitution.

Who said anything about race/ethnicity? All I was implying is that if all the illegals leave, there’ll be no need to alter the sewage system. Can you tell my why many of the “citizens” you mention don’t learn English?

The sewer system serves the business district and a small percentage of homes. The vast majority of the Village residents ( including recent immigrants) do not have sewer hookups to their homes. The monies were for expanding the sewer hookups for the down town business districts from Sayville through East Patchogue. This is an attempt to keep downtown shopping areas from disappearing completely. Six miles of downtown enhancements or 46 homes in Locust Valley.....makes you think.
