Gate opens, calves fall from truck onto freeway
Four calves fell out of the back of a cattle truck Saturday around 11 a.m. when the back gate of a truck hauling cattle from a ranch in nearby Parowan opened on Interstate 15 near mile marker 60. Two of the calves were injured when they hit the roadway and had to be euthanized, but no other vehicles were involved in the accident.
