People in the Parkston area, south of Mitchell, face a big cleanup chore following an early morning storm that brought plenty of rain, hail and wind.
Close Call With Massive Evergreen In Parkston
The town of Parkston was also hit hard by early morning storms on Thursday. Lillian Fuerst has seen a lot of storms roll through the town and says this was one of the worst.
The worst of the storm lasted only a few minutes, but it was long enough to cause widespread damage throughout KELOLAND.
Many cities are dealing with the clean-up from those storms today and the city of Menno is one of them.
The chase started west of Huron near Wessington where we spotted rotation but no tornado at our location.
The Town of Parkston also received a downpour of rain tonight. Residents there say they saw a small amount of hail, but not enough to damage any buildings in town.
