A Parchment man will spend a little more than a month in the Kalamazoo County Jail for the September robbery of a Climax bank .

First Community Federal Credit Union will merge with Port Huron-based E&A Credit Union to form a financial institution with a broader customer base and a territory that leaps from the Lake Michigan shoreline to that of Lake Huron.

T here will be a new name on E&A Credit Union's door. The Port Huron credit union, chartered in 1935, is merging with First Community Federal Credit Union, based in Parchment on the west side of the state, to form a new entity.

The board of the Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency will have a special meeting Monday to approve a contract for its new superintendent, David Campbell, who is now superintendent of the Livingston Intermediate School District.
