Why does Ramsey think he can tell a citizen how to spend their money?

With the economy being what it is, I agree with Mr. Ramsey. If they are so sure there is a body there, they should have brought it to the attention of the authorities much sooner. Why should we pay for a possible wild goose chase.
Funny how they sat on the knowledge that there was a body possibly in their backyard until it might benefit them in some way.
I don't agree with alot of things Mike Ramsey has done. In this instance though, I totally agree with him.

Who gives a rats azzzz.... If the family wants to dig, let em. No wonder so many cases around here go unsolved. You hear about excavationg like this happening all over the Country but of course our stupid County is too cheap and lazy to have anything to do with it. Let em dig, if they find something, good, if not at least they won't be wondering if the remains are at the site.

and people....digging ONE hole isn't much of a wild goose chase... it sounds like the family would be paying for it...not the tax payers.

To the people who have come forward with infomation on the possible site of Tom's remains, Thank You! This seems like the most promising information so far. This has been a long time in coming. Since all of the family lives out of the area it is especially difficult. If we lived in the area some of the family would most likely be out there searching ourselves. I understand the cost to the county makes it difficult. However, Tom deserves to come home.

What a concerned citizen...he's "100 percent sure" that Trotters' body was buried there, yet (his father) waits 12 years to say something, in hopes to get his son's sentenced reduced?

WOW. Pretty low if you ask me. IF the body is even buried there and you were "100 percent sure" this whole time, then what a d*ck you are for only speaking out when you think it can benefit you.

F this guy. Look him up on the Butte Co records, he has a pretty long rap sheet too.

I really hope they find Trotter's body, but if the family spends all the money excavating and there is nothing found, then I hope they can recover the money from the Plaster's somehow.

I personally think he is doing this for attention. And this is a HORRIBLE way to try and get it.

I really wouldn't mind my tax dollars being used to excavate one hole. Take a drive to oroville and look around the jail and check out all the nice new shiny vehicles just sitting there that my tax dollars go to. I say spend a little money and dig it.
I also CANNOT believe they knew that body might be in their property and said nothing all these years.
I wonder how deep and what diamater the hole is? I have a backhoe I'll dig it up.

I would like to know why Ramsey sat on that information for a year and a half. Why didn't he tell the family. It was there right to know and make their own decision. It just seems a little weird the family should have to dig for their own loved one. Tom was the VICTIM of Dennis Oats in Butte County. I am sure that family will do what ever they have to do. I think anyone would.

You are exactly right, the family shouldn't have to dig up a possible burial site for their own loved one. But you know....... People do what they have to do!!!!!! See the problem is, VICTIMS are ALL too often forgotten about, Let me tell you THIS ONE.......... WON'T BE!!!!!!!!!!

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Virgo

If something is weighing on your mind it will start to affect your health, Virgo. It might make you feel tired or depressed, or it could dominate your thoughts. You know what you should do about it, of course, but it seems like too much effort or you want to pretend that it doesn't exist. Unfortunately, this escapist attitude won't make the problem go away and might even make it more tricky by the time you finally decide to tackle it.
