An 18-year-old North Hollywood woman was killed early Wednesday and three other women were injured when a car ran out of gas and stalled, triggering a three-vehicle crash on the Golden State Freeway.

Victor Mendez Jr., a 17-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Saturday, Dec. 19, at Foothill Boulevard and Paxton Street in Pacoima , authorities said.
