BLM closes Oregon's Snively Hot Springs at night

Snively Hot Springs, a popular rustic hot pool on the Owyhee River, is being closed at night by the Bureau of Land Management, Vale Dsitrict , while a plan for recreation on the river below Owyhee Dam is written.

Indian Gambling Compact Considered

The administrator of the Shoshone-Paiute Tribes of the Duck Valley Indian Reservation, based in Owyhee on the Nevada-Idaho border, is taking steps to get a gambling compact with the state of Nevada.
