Ottawa looks at ways to cut canal costs
Ottawa's Illinois & Michigan Canal project has accumulated some water, but not the gallons that were expected to be flowing through it at year's end. The City Council met for a workshop session Monday evening to discuss how to proceed after received bids were higher than expected and what to do in the meantime until the project is completed next year.
