acting CFO is making $276,000 a year
Not bad pay in Mississippi County, especially when you are only "acting." Would hate like hell to see what they were maiking if they actually did something positive!!!!!!!!

I have been so much disappointed at these acting chiefs and to know this is the amount of money I am paying them as a Taxpayer of this county irritates me. What are these Quorum Court people doing. Are they BLIND or DEAF or NUMB headed not to see what is happening. These 2 people are totally incompetent have done nothing other than slick talk, fixed nothing for the hospital and they still get continued to pay THAT much money. They were supposed to have brought an expert solution in the first 4 months which was their initial contract. And they want a more of 1% Sales tax on me. These 2 people and their employer QHR are leaches. But my bigger GRIPE is with our Elected officers running the county who are letting this happen. People should demand and loudly demand some explanation from these elected officials and ask them with these salary figures on their face !! I hope this looting of county funds STOPS soon.

Don't worry...their big pay is about to come to an end....as well as our hospitals hopefully the county officials will all resign shortly after hospitals close

i agree with you both i think we should close our hospitals instead of paying out that kinda money .then again what happens to low paid workers with no health care every time their family gets sick. we will see more deaths without our hospitals.every minute counts....

Exactly what "benefits"are they getting in addition to those outrageous saleries? They aren't worth either IMO.

Benefits are all their taxes, health insurance, retirement plan contributions. Benefits donot include months of hotel stay in town, every weekend (or almost every weekend) air tickets to go to Dallas or Nashville to their family.. All these being paid in addition to their salary plus benefits plus $135,000 a month for their buddies in nashville. So it seems like in the last 8 months they have taken close to $1.7 million directly and not to mention legal fees and the ridiculous fees for tens of useless consultants who visited in their first 4 months of contract. How the hell can this hospital even run, forget about making any profit with these deals signed by none other than our Privileged and Smart County Officials. Then they blame it on to lack of patients or lack of support from doctors or nurses etc etc. Now the public can really see how much crap has been going on at the hospitals and why everyone who has dealt with them has been frustrated beyond limits.

QHR has been running a big scam on the tax payers of Mississippi County and now it is about to come to an end. QHR, and their parent company, Community Health Systems, have been planning all from the beginning to use tax payer money to upgrade facilities, replace equipment, and, even we are sucker enough to fall for the biggest scam of all, pass a tax to build new modern high efficient faciities and then CHS will step in and sign a long term lease for little of nothing at all and then leverage it all, just like AMERIS, and walk away with all the money and leave us with a huge debt and still no hospitals. Hopefully, the powers to be will allow the City of Osceola to take over operations of SMC then at least we will have a chance of having one financially solvent facility in the County.

Amenm brother, you are right on!! This CFO has been on the premises for 5 weeks and now he has forecasted that they will not need any more money from the County because of this "newfound IGT money of $763,000 per quarter? Ask him for some documentation validating this BEt he doesn't have it!!!!! Guest wrote: Benefits are all their taxes, health insurance, retirement plan contributions. How does QHR define Strategic Plan? Let me guess. "We will take these naive Arkansans for all they have before they realize what we have done to them, then, we can get back on our plane and fly back to Houston or Nashville laughing all the way to the bank!! What is the purpose of this meeting? Any chance that they will recommend transferring operations of SMC to City of Osceola and also finally recommend putting an end to the looters from QHR? Watcher wrote: The Planning & Development committee *MIGHT* meet next week, maybe Nov. 10th.

How ironic that these consultants just happen to be "related" parties to QHR and their Parent Compancy Community Health Systems. What are the two Coders at GRMC doing if QHR is paying their ownconsultants a fee, over $100,000 this year alone, to code medicalclaims for less than 18 patients per day between both hospitals? Does the Hospital Board not look at expenditures each month? Apparently not, sounds like they are "rubber stamping" everything QHR has done and wants to do in the future. voter wrote: acting CEO is making $323,172 a year acting CFO is making $276,000 a year Not bad pay in Mississippi County, especially when you are only "acting."
