Blytheville Chamber's website description dated 12/28/2007: http://blythevilleazcoc.weblinkconnect.com/CW... .
A state program: http://www.arhealthnet.com/
Does anyone recall if the Chamber's program was widely publicized? Yes, you no doubt would have to pay a yearly "membership fee" but how do the rates and coverage compare to other area plans?
Someone (Health Dep't.? The state?) needs to look into these options and make their findings readily available AND UNDERSTANDABLE. Same goes with the Medicare prescription coverage and supplemental scheme.
Health care has a messed up delivery system to begin with IMO so why make it even more complicated? Spit out some comparison figures up front that folks can RELATE to. Savvy businesses often shop insurance YEARLY because rates can be so volatile. It's a real hassle dealing with multiple reps knocking on your door all the time for about everything your operation uses (and then some!) When it comes to insurance, it's definitely not "user friendly" in too many cases!
