KU Alumni Association welcomes new students with picnic in Hays
Incoming University of Kansas students and their parents from Ellis, Graham, Norton, Osborne, Phillips, Rooks, Russell, Smith and Trego counties will be welcomed into the KU family at the Jayhawk Generations Welcome Picnic at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 16, in Hays.
"Our View from Here," an exhibition of work from the North Central Kansas Art Association and curated by Jan Schoen, president of the association, will open with an artists' reception 2 to 4 p.m. today at Deines Cultural Center, 820 N. Main, Russell.
