Why are taxes climbing in Orlando?

Ya think it was because we failed to balance our good fortune of being a vacation destination with requiring that growth to pay a more reasonable share of the infrastructure required to serve while administering rational land use and financial planning?

Instead we drank the cool aid selling out to OVERDEVEL0PERS who generously/profitably paid but a fraction of needed infrastructure and left the big bill for all of us -

We also complied by electing officials who wallow in the financial rewards of unfettered growth and exhibit the land use planning of barbarians...

Now they put most of the shaft to business & investors....some deserved as the business community failed to support reponsible public officials...This country's founders understood the delicate balance of individualism and community responsibility.....we polarized it....

Jeesh, I moved here from Cali because I had enough; politicians in that state are failing...
Everyone told me "yea Florida's great, no State Tax." Well I was ignorant, the politicians will get it from you one way or another.
Makes me want to move; over $4,500 a year for my property tax? I don't wanna stay here in FL and bend over for 'the man' anymore...
Anyone know if NC is a nice State to live in?
