Ever wonder why there is such an uproar concerning immigration? Usually it has a strong basis in jobs and the economy. When the economy is going well, not too many people are worried about it because jobs are plentiful. However, have a small economic glitch like we presently are experiencing and not only does everyone scream about illegal immigration, but when American citizens are losing their jobs and foreigners are getting them, it gives rise to the importance of politicians paying attention to these facts. Not only does it embody ill will for any candidate who doesn't support getting jobs to American citizens first, it is just the right thing to do.

Now when times were all peachy keen and our economy could afford to be generous to the rest of the world, it may be perfectly all right to over look people wanting to come to this country. However it is time for the government and both candidates and parties to take care of Americans first, considering just how many Americans have lost their jobs, are unemployed , even losing their homes. The American dream hasn't changed, it just means that we take care of our own first!

Registration forms can be downloaded from election.dos.state.fl.us and mailed with a postmark no later than Monday.
