As a resident of Orland Park, I do not support the action to redevelop the Orland Plaa. The businesses in this paza have been available to Orland residents for many years and are supported by them. If these businesses are forced to vacant this area, they wil not re-sette within the Orand area and residence will be without these services that they have become very familiar.
It is my beeif that this pet project of the mayor's is really not for the benefit of Orland Park residence.

I'm behind the effort to be progressive in Orland Park. The development plans would be amazing, and in case you haven't noticed, I'm sure there are plenty of vacant commercial properties the existing businesses could relocate to. The triangle is a comprehensive vision. If OP doesn't move forward it will be left behind.

Just found this site - had to check it out. In regard to the Plaza, I too am looking forward to the redevelopment. I think this corner is an integral entry point into the community, and if developed correctly, it will be a place where people can continue to shop and dine with much better and more updated facilities. I hate that parking lot that is currently there - it isn't laid out very well. As for the shop owners, I will continue to patronize them, wherever they locate. People shop places where they know they will get great quality, no matter where they are in the Village. Let's face it, the place was built in the 1970's (if not earlier) and it really looks its age.

Finally another person who thinks progressively! What is going on with the progress? Anybody know? Also, what's up with the intersection light project at 143rd and LaGrange?

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Leo

Perhaps it's the fact that it's Christmas Eve and everyone is busy, but you can't help feeling that you're walking on eggshells around certain people. Their emotions are very close to the surface and could erupt at a moment's notice, perhaps in a storm of tears or a fit of pique. Calm them down and ask if you can do anything to help.
