Central Communtity College to Build Ord Facility
Central Community College plans to begin construction on its Ord facility on October 26th. According to Caleb Pollard, Executive Director of Valley County Economic Development, the College plans to be open for the start of the spring 2010 college semester in January.

Texas Sex Offender Arrested in Ord; Fighting Extradition
An absconded sex offender from Texas was arrested in Ord on Saturday, August 29th. According to Valley County Sheriff Casey Hurlburt, 29 year-old William Sharp was arrested on a felony warrant from Ochiltree County Texas.
